Ashland Appoints William C. Whitaker as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Wilmington, Del., July 21, 2025 — Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH) has announced the official appointment of William C. Whitaker as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective July 18, 2025. Whitaker has been acting as Ashland’s interim CFO and now steps into the role on a permanent basis.

Whitaker’s Career at Ashland

Since joining Ashland in 2015, Whitaker has risen through the ranks, demonstrating leadership across roles in corporate development, treasury, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and investor relations. His extensive background within the company has equipped him with a well-rounded perspective on Ashland’s operations and strategic objectives.

Diverse Experience and Qualifications

Before his tenure at Ashland, Whitaker worked in private equity and transaction advisory services, deepening his expertise in finance. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Ohio State University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), underscoring his strong foundation in the financial field.
